Women of a Certain Age 2026 Recap

On Tuesday June 30 at Theatre Off Jackson, Bleecker St. Playhouse hosted our first PlayFEST and Fundraiser, Women of a Certain Age. It was a night of new works, joy, and laughter.

The four plays included:

• Meeting by Christine Deavel 

• The Klytemnestreia by Darian Lindle

• Shadows of the Wings by Kate Danley

• The Second Chapter by Emily Golden 

Each script was magically crafted to follow Bleecker St.’s mission and gave space and a narrative to women. 

Our event raised $14,980 - an astounding amount for a little theatre with big dreams. And we aren’t done yet. We were also awarded a $1500 SmART Ventures Grant from the Office of Arts and Culture to pay our incredible artists for their time.

We saw first hand the need for these stories in our community. We can’t wait to continue to bring work to Seattle and continue to cultivate this exceptional community.
